The UGC – Academic Staff College , Bharathiar University is organizing a seven day “Induction Programme” (from the Academic year 2009-10) for the teachers who are working in Self-Financing Colleges affiliated to Bharathiar University.

The scheme of the Programme is given below:

No. of Participants from each College : At least one faculty from each College may be deputed Course Fee : Rs.1,000/- per participant
Accommodation : Free of cost at the Academic Staff College Hostel (B11, B12 Staff Quarters)

• Tea, Snacks, Food, etc., should be arranged by the participants on their own.

• The Demand Draft for Rs.1,000/- should be drawn in favour of the Director, UGC – Academic Staff College, Bharathiar University, payable at Coimbatore. The course fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  
• The Academic Staff College Hostel(Staff Quarters, B11 and B12) is located within the residential campus. The residential campus is just opposite to the main gate of Bharathiar University.

• The Academic Staff College is situated in the Building of the School of Distance Education which is near to the second gate (Hostel Bus-stop) of the University.

• Participants are not permitted to go for any official or on ‘Other Duty’ during the period of the Programme. They are also not permitted to avail any permission for not attending the classes under any circumstances. They should be punctual and regular to the classes.

• Subject to the conditions and guidelines of the UGC, the Director’s decision shall be final, in respect of all issues pertaining to the Programme.

• Participants are to abide by the rules and regulations of the UGC – Academic Staff College.
  
• All Buses plying to Maruthamalai from Gandhipuram Bus Stand will pass through Bharathiar University . Participants can also board Bus No.1c (which plys upto Vadavalli) from Singanallur Bus Stand and from Railway Station. From Vadavalli they can take any bus which plys to Maruthamalai.
